About the Summit Hill House Tour
Hosted in partnership by the Summit Hill Association and Ramsey Hill Association, the Summit Hill House Tour is a one-day architectural tour that grants tour-goers a rare inside look at some of the most historic homes and public spaces in St. Paul.
The 2024 Home Tour takes place on Sunday, September 22, 2024. It features a mix of grand Summit Avenue mansions, churches, historic family homes, duplexes and a new construction penthouse that reflect both the rich history and future of the neighborhood.
The 2023 tour was our most successful yet. Over 2,000 attendees toured 15+ historic homes and other spaces, offering a glimpse into life in one of the best-preserved historic neighborhoods in the nation.
Tour with Purpose
The Summit Hill House Tour supports the work of the Summit Hill Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to securing the neighborhood’s health and vitality for the long term. Our all-volunteer board works with the community, City and partner organizations on numerous projects and events.
The House Tour brings thousands of people to our neighborhood every year, benefiting local businesses and raising its profile. It’s also our major annual fundraiser – the proceeds of every ticket we sell are used to help us deliver our programs in Summit Hill and beyond. In 2024, we’re working to revitalize Grand Avenue, our community’s main street; we’re collaborating with Parks & Rec to deliver an ambitious upgrade to Linwood Park, with new facilities and amenities including play spaces, sports facilities, and an amphitheater; and of course, we’re building a stronger community through regular events and programming throughout the year.
Attending the tour isn’t just a day out. It’s an investment in the future of Summit Hill.
